This and That

The interview was interesting. The job would be a stretch. We'll see.

In other news - my birthday present came yesterday! I'd told the Precious Daughters ALL DAMN SUMMER that all I wanted for my birthday was for them to for have a picture taken together. Lord knows they've been bitching about what's been on display lo these many years...

At two and six months - I STILL like this photo!

At Seven and five - Precious Youngest looks constipated.

At ten and twelve - I think was taken for the parish directory and is particularly heinous.

Somehow after that we never got around to having another picture taken of just the two of them. Well naturally they waited until three days before Precious Oldest went back to school honor my request, but they did it!

I may be sleeping with this after we take Precious Youngest to school. You never can tell.

Beantown, part II

Boston Common

The city was VERY excited that the Celtics won.

House of Representatives

Senate

Granary Burying Ground

The big pyramid shaped monument is where Ben Franklin's family is buried.

The Boston Tea Party was planned here.

First Public School , Ben Franklin was a drop out.

King's Chapel

Paul Revere House

Paul Revere had 16 children with two different wives.

She had thirty two cannons

and a crew of 450 that slept in two shifts.

They had their meals here too. There was one cook.

Dudes, there was more but I'm too tired to upload any more pictures.

Shameless

I stole this photo meme, quite blatantly, from Vanessa.

  • Find five things around your house that say something about the person you are
  • and snap a picture of them.
  • Tell us about them.
  • Link back to me in your post.
  • Tag five (if you feel like it) folks via their comments and tell us who you tagged
Let's begin by recalling that I have a "no pictures of family" policy. So my pictures will be of THINGS. And let's also agree that my skills as a photographer are..well..not the best.

I am in awe of artists of all kinds because I couldn't draw, paint, or sculpt to save my life. We've become friends with an artist here in town whose work I enjoy. We own several of his pieces, but this is my favorite:

This is a shot of the bottom shelves of my wine rack. Under pain of death, no one touches those bottles but me. I have these stashed away for special occasions and days when nothing but a really good glass of wine will make you feel better.

Books. Love them. Own some, borrow the rest.

(And there is another bookcase exactly like this on the other side of the window!)

    My Tub:

It has soothing jets and is nice and deep.

A soak, a glass of wine, a good book....

    And I'm ready for this:

Consider yourself tagged and show us your pictures!
