I awoke yesterday morning to our first fall day with temperatures that had dipped below freezing. On my stumble in the dark down the driveway to fetch the paper I watched my breath turn to vapor and thought of digging out the winter bedding.
I thought how nice it would be to curl up in that flannel covered, downy goodness and wallow to my hearts content.
I could picture the downy goodness, clean and fluffy.
So after my shower I trotted down to the basement to haul out what I had stored so lovingly back in May. And what, to my surprise, did I find?
Hallelujah! We'll have Halloween after all!

He-he-he-he! One time I bought Easter candy a month ahead of the date. I wanted to be able to get my choice of those lovely Russell Stover whipped eggs, especially the strawberry and raspberry. I got enough for 3 older kids. Ate every bit of it by Easter and had to go out and buy more! I also gained about 5 pounds. No more buying ahead for me. I'm also notorious for misplacing things I've hidden for safekeeping, so you aren't alone, my dear.
That wouldn't have lasted 5 minutes in my house, much less 5 months.
I gained weight just looking at your goodies!
Yay! I was thinking maybe it was found and eaten. That bedding looks lovely.
I'll take the Rolos. Shortman prefers the Starburst. ;-)
Is that really your bedding? (top pic) I love the pattern...
Okay, I would NEVER forget where I put something like this. Please send me the drugs that will allow me too. :)
You were unitentionally quite clever. You hid it from yourself until almost the last moment.
Apologize to the Saint for me, will you? (Glad you found it!)
I love it. You find what you had lost, AND you get to to snuggle into warm winter coziness. Ahhhh.
I'm so glad!
But did you find the sheets?
