This should be fun

Oh people. Tonight will be the dreaded “Calendar Meeting” in Whoville. Which is a periodic, mandatory meeting for all members of the household. It gets scheduled when things in Whoville are out of control.

We all hate the “Calendar Meeting”. Nevertheless it needs to be done. Too many things need to be pieced together to figure out WHENINTHENAMEOFGOD we can take a vacation this summer. And it’s mostly MY fault. The plan this year is a Boston/New York scenario. Best done before it gets hotter than the hammered down hinges of hell. But my June? Sucketh mightily. Throw in debate camp, my father's 70th birthday, and a photography class Precious Youngest wants to take and July is not looking much better.

Tonight, after dinner, we will pull out the ginormous calendar. Many things will be written down, color coded, checked and cross-checked. All to see if six consecutive days can be strung together. So we can have some quality family time damn it.

I'm thinking what I need is for someone to tell me that Boston/New York will not kill us dead with the heat/humidity in late July. Please?

Sorry.

Although it depends on what you are used to, also. It's so humid here that Boston would be great in July for us.

I don't want to hear about the heat and humidity in New York as that's where I'm supposed to go in late July. Also, the only possible week in my calendar.

That's why we don't vacation. Well, that and the lack of finances.

Noooo....it will be perfect! Tell you what, swing by Georgia for a couple of days before you head to Boston/NY and by comparison Boston/NY will feel downright icy!

I've been to New York in August, and...um... well, it's probably not any worse than where you live? I hope?

Good luck with your calendar meeting. Here's hoping the vacation happens!

Well...it won't KILL you. Just maim you a little.

I'm pretty sure debate camp isn't for you, so that can't be your fault.

(If you get as far as planning September at the meeting, save a day or two for me. I'm considering a road trip your direction.)

Maybe you can go in late September? The weather will be much nicer then.
