Noah, are you there?

It is raining. Torrentially. Again? Still? I'm considering building an ark.

Oh guess what? We didn't go to college orientation yesterday. Because it's scheduled for this upcoming Sunday and Monday. Sheesh.

Maybe it will stop raining by then?

We've had rain nearly every day for almost three months. I'm trying to appreciate it without grumbling, as we've had two droughts in the past decade.

Northern MN, where I live, has been very, very dry this spring. Now we're traveling in Missouri, where there are flash flood watchesa, and we're winding through towns that were completely under water last year.

Amazing the scope of places humanity has settled.

Sheesh is right.
And I bet the weather is balmy while you have to be there because why wouldn't it be?

According to my husband and the local news, there were eight straight days of thunderstorms, tornado warnings, and general nastiness right before I got to Denver. This ended on Sunday. I arrived here Monday afternoon and have seen nary a drop of rain. I think it's a conspiracy.
